Project Deepasthambha

Pioneering District-Wide Foundational Learning in Wardha, 2023-25

Project Deepasthambha is a landmark district-wide initiative launched in Wardha, Maharashtra, aimed at transforming Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) outcomes in alignment with NEP 2020 and Mission NIPUN Bharat. By integrating a specialised FLN tracking feature into VOPA's V-School platform, the project eliminated manual data entry, saving hundreds of thousands of teacher hours and providing district administration with real-time dashboards to drive targeted micro-interventions. The project evolved from a guided pilot into a fully independent, system-led initiative that set the gold standard for the rest of the state.

Grade 3 Marathi story-level reading rose from 8% to 32% over the year, an increase of 24 percentage points.
Grade 5 Marathi story-level reading rose from 18% to 48% over the year, an increase of 30 percentage points.

Project Raste ki Pathshala

Road Safety Education for School Children, Nanded 2023

Raste ki Pathshala (RKP) is a road safety awareness initiative designed to educate school children and teachers on essential traffic rules and safe road practices. Project Utkarsh

Measuring Learning Outcomes at Scale, Feb–Mar 2024

The Ratnagiri Learning Outcomes Assessment was a structured, data-driven evaluation conducted in partnership with Zilla Parishad Ratnagiri to measure the effectiveness of Learning Outcome (LO)-based teaching. Ratnagiri DIET pre-defines specific LOs for each month across all subjects; teachers assess students and enter achievement data into the V-School application, which automatically analyses and presents results graphically to administrators. VOPA conducted an independent one-month study with baseline and endline assessments to validate the project's impact, demonstrating measurable learning improvements across all four subjects within a single month.

Marathi creative writing (Grade 4): students achieving the LO rose from 32% to 90%, a gain of 58 percentage points.
Marathi contextual vocabulary understanding: students achieving rose from 65% to 95%, a gain of 30 percentage points.
