About Vowels of the People Association
VOPA is a Section 8 non-profit organisation founded in 2018. We build technology-driven solutions that strengthen education and mental health systems across India.
Our Origin
Vowels of the People Association was founded in 2018 with the goal of building technology-driven solutions that strengthen education and mental health systems.
The organisation began as a small team working with underserved communities in Maharashtra. Over time, it grew into a multidisciplinary team designing large-scale digital platforms in collaboration with state governments and institutions.
VOPA works closely with government departments, educators, and communities to develop solutions that are scalable, practical, and grounded in real needs.
Today, VOPA's platforms reach millions of learners across the state and have established VOPA as a trusted partner in public digital infrastructure.

How We Work
VOPA brings together technology, research, and institutional partnerships to build solutions that last.
Technology
We build open-source, frugally engineered platforms designed for low-bandwidth environments, older devices, and large-scale government deployment.
Research
All our systems are designed on the basis of field research and community engagement. We test, iterate, and adapt based on real-world evidence.
Partnerships
We work directly with government departments, educators, and communities. Solutions are co-designed, not imposed.
