Despite such a vast operational scope, how has the district consistently remained ahead in the NIPUN Maharashtra Mission? The answer lies in the encouragement from the administration, the continuous follow-up by the supervisory system, and the dedicated efforts of teachers. This threefold approach has truly become the driving force behind Ahilyanagar’s remarkable journey in the NIPUN Maharashtra Mission.

Impact Report

Comprehensive Digital Learning Project (A journey of 20 schools across 3 years)

The Digital Learning Project (DLP) was a three-year hybrid education initiative implemented by VOPA across 20 low-income private schools in Pune, with support from Bajaj Finserv. The project combined digital infrastructure, the V-School platform, teacher capacity building, FLN interventions, scholarship preparation, and parent engagement. Over the project period, students showed substantial improvement in Marathi and English reading and writing, as well as numeracy, while scholarship qualification also increased. By the final year, digital learning had become integrated into classroom and home learning, with schools increasingly managing these practices independently. The project also established sustainable systems through teacher training, Digi-Friends, parent engagement, reusable FLN resources, regular assessments, and planned handover of infrastructure and learning materials.

VOPA Monthly Highlight Report (July 2026)

July marked several important milestones for VOPA, including the development of 2,000+ NIPUN assessment tools in collaboration with SCERT Maharashtra and the feature of VOPA’s NIPUN work in the India Development Review. Importantly, VOPA organized first time the SAIYAM Olympiad Prize Distribution Ceremony of 2025-26, which reached over 9,000 students across 147 schools. Alongside continued DLP school engagement, VOPA advanced the NIPUN platform through NIPUN Samvadika and NIPUN Games, while strengthening internal learning and team collaboration.

VOPA Monthly Highlight Report (June 2026)

June 2026 focused on strengthening VOPA’s research, field engagement, and organisational learning. A Qualitative Research Methodology session helped teams build their capacity to document programme experiences through case studies and impact stories. The team also conducted a two-day NIPUN Maharashtra field visit to Dhule, engaging with officials, teachers, and students to understand implementation challenges. Field visits for the SAIYAM Impact Story Book, along with learning sessions on reading culture and NIPUN assessment tools, further strengthened VOPA’s research and documentation practices.
