By accessing or using the website at vopa.in and its sub-domains (collectively, the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Site.

These terms apply to all visitors, donors, partner organisations, and others who access the Site. Vowels of the People Association reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.

Vowels of the People Association (VOPA) is a Section 8 non-profit company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office at Paud Road, Kothrud, Pune, Maharashtra, India. VOPA builds open-source technology systems and data platforms in service of public education and mental health.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Use the Site to transmit unsolicited, harmful, or unlawful content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems.
• Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Site without prior written permission from VOPA.
• Impersonate VOPA, its staff, or its partners.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or index the Site in a manner that disrupts normal operations.

All content on this Site -- including text, graphics, logos, photographs, data visualisations, and software -- is the property of VOPA or its content providers and is protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws.

Where content is explicitly marked as open-source (such as our platforms and datasets), it is made available under the licence specified in the respective repository. Open-source licensing does not extend to the VOPA name, logo, or brand identity.

Donations made to VOPA are voluntary contributions to support our non-profit mission. By donating, you acknowledge that:

• Donations are not payments for goods or services.
• All donations are final and non-refundable unless VOPA determines at its sole discretion that a refund is appropriate.
• VOPA is eligible to issue 80G income tax exemption certificates for eligible donors under the Income Tax Act, 1961. Issuance is subject to providing accurate name and PAN details.
• VOPA will use donations in furtherance of its stated charitable objectives. Donors cannot direct funds to specific individuals.

The Site may contain links to external websites, research papers, government portals, and platforms operated by third parties. VOPA provides these links for informational purposes only and does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any linked site.

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

VOPA does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and up to date but do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any content.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VOPA, its trustees, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site, even if VOPA has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
